If you're a fan of scented candles but aren't familiar with candle warmers, you're about to discover a game-changing accessory that will elevate your candle experience. Above is a picture of my candle warmer lamp, which I bought about 8 years ago for around £25.00, which in my opinion, is a bargain.
Flame-Free Enjoyment
These lamps are revolutionary and have significantly enhanced my enjoyment of scented candles. It might sound dramatic, but for anyone who loves the aroma of scented candles in their home, a candle warmer is a must-have. Let me explain how a candle warmer works and why it's such a great addition to your home. The bulb in the lamp melts the wax of the candle so that the scent is still provided but without the need for a flame. Therefore the wick doesn't need to be lit until the scent starts to fade, and depending on the brand of the candle, the scent can remain strong for 5 or more melts under the lamp! Once you notice the scent start to fade, you then have 2 options;
Option 1: Light the wick to burn away unscented wax.
Option 2: If you do not want to light the wick then this option is for you. Warm the wax using the lamp, and once the top layer has pooled, either poor the wax away or soak it up with cotton wool.
I opt to light my wicks because even if the smell of the candle is subtle, I like the aesthetics of an open flame, plus I am getting more hours from the candle. I understand that this isn't for everyone though, as you might not like an open flame or you could have children or pets around the house.
TIP: Always burn a candle long enough for the top layer to fully pool (melt). If you don't, your candle may tunnel, which nobody wants.
No More Tunnelling
Whilst we're on the subject of tunnelling, I will give you another 2 reasons to buy a candle warmer. The first reason is that the candles never tunnel. When you use the lamp it heats the whole surface of the candle at the same temperature, unlike a lit candle, where the heat needs to spread outwards from the flame, therefore your candle will not tunnel under the lamp. The second reason, and you're going to love this, the lamp will solve any tunnelling issues you have. You simply just place a tunnelled candle under the lamp, and the rest is magic! Soon you will have a flat wax candle again, meaning you won't need to throw away half your candle. Many of my friends thank me for solving this issue by telling them about a candle warmer.
Home Accessory
If you're still not convinced, just take a look at how beautiful these candle warmers can be. With their growing popularity, there are now many designs to choose from, ensuring you can find one that fits your décor perfectly. I purchased my warmer from www.candlessniffsandgifts.co.uk, and they still offer the same style today, although not in the black colour I have. I've recently checked out other suppliers and was amazed by the variety available. Amazon has a great selection, and many independent online candle stores offer beautiful designs. Here are some of my favourites:

Extended Life Of my Candles
The main reason why I love the warmer so much is because my candles last so much longer. The value for money that I get out of my candles now is insane. An average medium-sized candle has a burn time between 45-65 hours, however, if you use the combination of the lamp with your usual routine of lighting a candle by the wick, then you are going to get a minimum of 5 times the number of hours, which is a huge 225+ hours!
Investing in a candle warmer has truly transformed my home. The extended life of my candles and the beautiful, flame-free ambiance are just a couple of reasons why I believe every candle lover should own one. Trust me, once you try it, you won't look back!
